Primary

CLASSES I to VIII

The School follows the curriculum prescribed by GSHSEB Gandhinagar, which exposes the children to study various subjects.

The primary curriculum provides a skilfull and challenging learning facilities. Our students are encouraged to explore and develop their cerebral capabilities like reading, writing, sound communication and problem solving methods. Our curriculum offers various task oriented activities which enhances their enthusiasm and participation.

The primary teaching classroom stands out as a very dynamic environment where students from different backgrounds with varying abilities and personalities are brought together. It is thus important to adopt a creative and innovative teaching strategies in order to meet the individual needs of the students.

We use Multimedia, Audio-Visual aids, Computers and Internet to bring the dull academic concepts to life with visual and practical learning experiences, helping our students to understand how their schooling applies in the real-world.

The broad range of subjects that are studied in Primary Section are:

  • English
  • Hindi
  • Gujarati
  • Sanskrit
  • Mathematics
  • General Science (Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Studies And Physics)
  • Social Science (History And Geography)
  • Physical Education
  • Computer Science

Children in this part of the classes are taught by a mixture of generalist and specialist teachers, however their mentor and ‘significant personality’ will be the class teacher, who besides teaching will also provide pastoral support.

This means that we capitalise on the common ground which exists across ‘separate’ subject areas. This consolidates understanding and helps the child realise that something learned in one subject can assist learning in another – for example a good understanding of a topic in Mathematics can enhance progress in Physics, and vice versa.

The class teacher will continue to be a figure of great significance for children in this section of the academy, however more teaching will be done by specialist staff as children prepare for transfer to the Secondary section, which will prepare them for CBSE courses and beyond.
